An Orange County man is facing a slew of charges after deputies interrupted a rowdy house party on Saturday night, attended by an abundance of minors and permeated with illegal substances. David Ramos, 46, was arrested following the discovery of drugs, alcohol, and a firearm at his residence on the 800 block of Geranium Avenue, as reported by ClickOrlando.
Deputies were dispatched around 10:40 p.m. in response to complaints of loud music and potential underage drinking. When they arrived, they were greeted by several uncooperative juveniles on the front porch and an intrusive aroma of marijuana. Inside, a glass bong and later, a quantity of cocaine and cannabis as well as a Smith and Wesson semi-automatic firearm were found. Ramos, after being questioned, admitted to hosting the party for his son, according to the arrest affidavit provided by the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
The night escalated when deputies witnessed multiple juveniles escaping over a fence after a commotion at the back of house. A search warrant later uncovered drug paraphernalia, nicotine and THC vapes, and assorted alcoholic beverages within the household. Despite initial resistance from Ramos, he now faces charges including battery on a law enforcement officer and possession of cocaine. Moreover, he's been charged with contributing to a minor's delinquency and hosting an open house party.
Ramos was booked at the Orange County Jail following this event. Details from the WFTV news report further clarify that Ramos is charged with resisting an officer with violence, in addition to two counts related to minors' delinquency.
