In the initial tragedy on December 22, 2025, David Garcia-Morales, aged only 20, was struck by gunfire while operating his tow truck on Torresdale Avenue, resulting in a critical injury that led to his death four days later, despite being rushed to Temple University Hospital a subsequent fatality occurred on January 11, 2026, when officers discovered 25-year-old Aaron Whitfield deceased with multiple shot wounds and a second victim, a young woman, injured but alive within the same tow truck.
The Philadelphia Police have expressed that Najee Williams should be regarded as "armed and dangerous," urging the public to maintain a vigilant but safe distance and avoid confrontations.
