Sewing enthusiasts in Pickaway County are in for some communal needlework as the Pickaway County Park District along with OSU Extension hosts Wild Threads: Unfinished Fabric Objects. This forthcoming event promises an opportunity to tackle those lingering projects that have been gathering dust or that present vexing challenges, providing a support system for crafters who often toil in solitude.
Set for Saturday, February 21, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, the workshop will take place at the Park District Headquarters on US-23 in South Bloomfield. While slots for the earlier session have already been filled, a few remaining spaces in the afternoon session are open to those quick enough to snag them, with a modest fee of $5 required for registration. Participants are expected to bring their own works-in-progress, where they can draw on the expertise and fellowship of fellow textile aficionados.
It's not just about finishing what you started; it's a chance to hone your craft. "Get advice and help on any problem sections you've hit or look through past Wild Threads projects to practice your skills," encouraged the Pickaway County Park District - PCPD, in a social media post. For interested parties, registration is processed through Eventbrite, ensuring a streamlined sign-up sequence.
