Port Charlotte playgrounds will be closed Thursday and Friday for shade structure replacements. The work will affect Port Charlotte Beach Park, Katherine Ariens Dog Park, and South Gulf Cove Park. Charlotte County Community Services says the improvements will help keep play areas safer and more comfortable for children and pets.
While these playgrounds are closed, nearby Higgs Park and Rotonda Community Park will remain open for children and pets. Charlotte County has posted signs to guide visitors safely around the work zones.
