Police had first been dispatched to the 1900 block of McCulloh Street, then located the victim nearby, and Western District detectives have opened an active shooting investigation.

According to Baltimore Witness, Western District patrol officers responded at approximately 1:55 a.m. and found the man lying unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds. Medics transported him to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
