Los Angeles police flooded a Pacoima neighborhood early Thursday after officers said a burglary suspect bolted into a nearby house and barricaded himself inside. Residents of the first home got out without injury while multiple patrol cars and a news helicopter moved in on the block.
Officers responded to a burglary-in-progress call on Pinney Street just after 2:30 a.m., according to ABC7. The station reports the suspect first broke into one residence, then ran into another nearby home where people were inside, which prompted officers to surround that property. No injuries were reported among the residents who fled the first house.
Police containment and scene
"AIR7 was over the scene," ABC7 reported, showing several patrol vehicles positioned around the home while officers locked down the block. At the time of the report it was still unclear whether the suspect had been taken into custody or remained inside, and officials had not released a name.
