
Senator Tammy Baldwin has secured $5 million in Congressional Directed Spending for Janesville to address blighted commercial areas and support redevelopment efforts. The funding will allow the city to demolish unsafe buildings, clean up environmental hazards, and prepare these areas for future use, according to the City of Janesville.
"This $5 million federal investment is a game-changer for Janesville," said Economic Development Director Jimsi Kuborn. The investment will help the city make progress in public safety, health, and economic development, as reported by the City of Janesville.
Janesville is using federal funds to improve underutilized and unsafe commercial areas and support economic growth.
