Aurora police said the situation was contained to a single building, that affected residents had already been contacted, and that everyone else should steer clear while officers worked to safely wrap up the call.
According to the Aurora Police Department, officers were called to the area on a shots-fired report and quickly determined the situation was “isolated to a specific building.” The department added that “all impacted residents have been contacted” and said officers and other resources on scene were working to “safely resolve the situation,” with more updates promised as information becomes available.
