Edinburg economic development officials announced this week that Cavender's, working through its property manager Whitco PGP Properties, closed on the site last Wednesday and that county records show CVS had continued leasing the building up to that date, according to MySA. The outlet reports the location will be the company's first store in Edinburg and its fourth in the Rio Grande Valley. Mike Cavender, owner of Cavender Stores LP, told the paper the company is "thrilled to enter the Edinburg market."
