An Atlanta-based adult content creator's night on South Beach ended in handcuffs Thursday after Miami Beach police say she stabbed a man inside his apartment during a heated argument over sex and religion.
According to Local 10, the incident unfolded just before 9:30 p.m. at the Edwards Apartments, 953 Collins Ave., after the man invited the woman back to his unit. The victim told officers he refused to have sex because the woman "was not Jewish," and the dispute spiraled into a physical confrontation that left him with minor cuts, police said. The suspect took off, but officers later tracked her down and detained her.
Jail records identify the suspect as 30-year-old La'Rose Sainte, a transgender woman based in Atlanta who promotes explicit profiles on Fansly and X.
The arrest report states the victim told police that Sainte demanded his car keys and money, then shoved him toward the bathtub and punched him several times before he left the unit. When he returned after hearing the sound of something breaking, officers say Sainte had shattered a mirror, grabbed a shard of glass and used it to inflict several minor lacerations on his left hand. She is also accused of damaging two pairs of sunglasses and a refrigerator handle.
After fleeing the building, Sainte was spotted on a police drone camera getting into an SUV, according to Local 10. Officers moved in and stopped the vehicle. The report quotes Sainte as saying, "I'm about to crash out," as she was taken into custody.
Charges and booking
Sainte was booked on a felony aggravated battery charge and three misdemeanors. Jail records show she was being held on a $1,650 bond.
The Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center is the county facility listed for inmates in Miami-Dade County; official corrections contact information is available from Miami-Dade Corrections.
Investigation and next steps
Police say the victim's injuries were limited to several minor lacerations on his left hand, along with property damage inside the apartment unit. It was not immediately clear whether prosecutors would pursue any hate-crime enhancements connected to the victim's account of the argument over religion.
The Miami Beach Police Department continues to investigate and has not released additional details.
