A routine food-delivery run in Spring turned into a full-blown manhunt Friday after a driver was carjacked near the 3800 block of FM 2920, according to authorities. Deputies swarmed the area around Falvel Road, set up a perimeter and began tracking suspects after locating the stolen vehicle and pulling it over. One person was detained at the traffic stop, while others reportedly bailed out of the car and took off on foot.

What deputies reported

According to Harris County Constable Precinct 4, deputies called in DPS air support and the precinct's drone unit to help with the search, while a perimeter kept motorists and residents clear of the scene. Deputies said they found the stolen car, a beige Toyota Camry, and a traffic stop led to one suspect being taken into custody.

The constable's office urged anyone with information to report suspicious activity and reminded the public not to confront anyone who might be involved, especially fleeing suspects.

Suspect descriptions and stolen items

Precinct 4 reported that two additional males got out of the Camry and ran southbound on foot. The pair were described as Black males wearing black hoodies and gray pants.

Deputies said the suspects had taken several vape products from a nearby food mart, in addition to the stolen beige Toyota Camry. In its post the office warned residents to "avoid the area and report any suspicious activity" and again stressed that people should not approach fleeing suspects, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4.

FM 2920 policing context

The FM 2920 corridor has seen a string of police responses in recent months, as reported in coverage of several arrests and theft investigations along the road. Click2Houston also covered a separate Precinct 4 response on FM 2920 earlier that same day.

Law enforcement officials say the corridor's fast-moving traffic and retail-strip layout make it a frequent stage for quick-turn crimes and rapid patrol responses.

How to report tips

Residents with information about the carjacking or the suspects are being asked to contact law enforcement instead of stepping in themselves. In emergencies, call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, Precinct 4's dispatch number is available on its website.

The precinct also encourages the public to follow its social channels and the "C4 NOW" mobile app for live alerts, according to the Constable Precinct 4 website. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has video is asked to share it with investigators.

Authorities said the investigation remains active and that more updates will be released as deputies process the scene and interview witnesses. The precinct is asking anyone with tips to call dispatch or submit information through its online channels so investigators can close the case.
