St. Johns County Fire Rescue is actively sharpening its skills for high-pressure emergency situations. According to a recent social media post, the crew of Engine 9 conducted intensive training at the Villages of Vilano, focusing on high-rise and high-target hazard fire attacks.
The training included key techniques such as deploying a 350-foot preconnect using rope-assisted methods and conducting a simulated aggressive fire attack by advancing a line to the third floor.
As per the department’s Facebook post, these exercises go beyond drills, preparing firefighters for high-stakes situations where every second matters and lives are on the line.
