Raleigh’s Anne Gordon Active Adult Center is inviting locals to enjoy an afternoon of culture and social engagement with a trip to see Bright Star. The musical, set in the American South during the 1920s and 1940s, follows literary editor Alice Murphy as her life is transformed by a chance encounter with a returning World War II soldier.
Theatre-goers can expect an engaging afternoon uncovering a hidden truth central to Bright Star’s story. The trip is scheduled for April 26, departing at 10:30 a.m. and returning around 5 p.m., according to the City of Raleigh. Participants are responsible for their own lunch, with the total cost at $53 for residents and $68 for non-residents.
