Multiple callers reported gunfire, leading to the SWAT and tactical response. Deputies used loudspeakers and negotiators to seek a peaceful resolution while the person of interest remained inside the home, as reported by FOX40.

The Mather area sits close to Rancho Cordova, which saw a deadly shooting earlier this year when four people were found fatally shot inside a home, a case that drew heavy sheriff's office resources and rattled the community.
