Tampa Police are currently investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place yesterday morning at LV Nails & Spa on West Hillsborough Avenue. According to a statement from the Tampa Police Department, the incident happened just before 8:00 am, when two armed suspects entered the establishment.
The suspects, both white males, were reported to be wearing brown hoodies, jeans, and masks, in the style made common by the COVID-19 pandemic. During the robbery, an adult male employee was assaulted but fortunately sustained only minor injuries. The suspects were able to quickly to take cash and flee the scene. They were last seen heading eastbound, with one described as being approximately 5'5" in height.
Authorities are now on the scene, collecting evidence and working to develop leads. The Tampa Police Department urges anyone with information related to this crime to come forward. With it being very early in the investigation process, detectives are keen to gather as much information as possible.
