
The Bronx recorded its third homicide of the week after a 26-year-old man was shot and killed while seated in a BMW on Thwaites Place in the Pelham Parkway neighborhood. The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. on Friday. The victim, who has not been identified pending family notification, was shot in the chest, according to ABC7NY.
When officers arrived at the scene, the victim reported that three men approached his vehicle and opened fire. He was transported to a hospital by police, initially in stable condition, but his condition worsened overnight, and he was pronounced dead shortly after 5:30 a.m. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
As per amNewYork, the suspects were seen wearing all-black clothing and fleeing after the shooting. Detectives have taken over the investigation, and the NYPD is seeking information from the public, encouraging anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
