
A late-night fire in the toilet-paper aisle at the H-E-B Plus! on East Riverside sent shoppers and workers rushing outside Wednesday, but firefighters had the flames out in short order and no injuries were reported.
What happened
According to KVUE, the fire sparked around 10:15 p.m. and appeared to start in the store's toilet-paper aisle. Austin Fire Department crews stayed on scene for roughly 30 minutes as they worked to knock down the blaze, while employees cleared everyone from the building. Arson investigators were called in to look into exactly how the flames got started.

The incident took place at the Riverside H-E-B Plus! at 2508 E. Riverside Drive, the same address listed on the store's official page from H-E-B.
Investigation underway
Officials have not yet pinned down a cause and say the investigation is still active. As noted by KVUE, arson investigators were assigned to the scene, and authorities are expected to share more details if and when they have them.
What shoppers should know
