Alex Reznik, a Top Chef alum and Beat Bobby Flay champion, is opening Hayworth, a 4,200-square-foot restaurant in Henderson, on Feb. 26. The menu reflects his Jewish and Eastern European roots, with dishes like beef tongue agnolotti, king salmon–topped potato latkes, and a 24-hour slow-cooked wagyu brisket. The restaurant is designed for both family dinners and date nights, featuring warm velvet décor and low lighting that nods to Old Vegas.
From TV Kitchens to a Henderson Neighborhood
Reznik is a longtime Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York chef and a Season 7 alum of "Top Chef," according to Bravo. He also took down the title character on Food Network competition series "Beat Bobby Flay," per Food Network. Hayworth is the latest project from Ogden Hospitality, the company Reznik founded last year, which previously opened SMKD BBQ in November, as noted by Eater Vegas.
Menus Rooted in Family Recipes
The 4,200-square-foot Hayworth is scheduled to open Feb. 26 at 1450 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite C-205 in Henderson, and will seat about 80 guests in the dining room, 25 at a marble bar and 30 more on a covered terrace, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The menu emphasizes Reznik's Jewish and Eastern European heritage with plates such as fingerling potatoes finished with cultured cream and caviar, agnolotti filled with beef tongue and sablefish glazed in apple honey. Dessert chef Miloš Babić will handle the sweets, including chocolate babka, sufganiyot with rose jelly and a honey-and-olive-oil cake paired with goat cheese ice cream and halva.
Cocktails and the Bar
Giuseppe González will run the beverage program at Hayworth. Cocktail histories credit González as the inventor of the Trinidad Sour, created at Brooklyn's Clover Club around 2009, according to InsideHook. So guests can expect bitter-forward sours on the menu, alongside classics-minded picks like Benton's Old Fashioned and a Black Manhattan when the bar opens.
What It Means for Henderson
Reznik says he sees Hayworth as a true neighborhood restaurant built for family meals, celebrations and late-night dining, joining a growing wave of off-Strip spots courting locals. Reservations and updates are expected to be available through hayworthlv.com and the restaurant's Instagram handle @hayworthlv.
