The Henry, Uptown Dallas' all-day restaurant known for its patio and power lunch crowd, is headed north to Plano's Legacy West. The brand plans to open a second DFW outpost later this year in a street-level space at 7700 Windrose Avenue. The move adds another national-style dining option to Legacy West's growing roster of restaurants and retail.
Buildout and timeline
A project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation lists the opening as a tenant improvement at 7700 Windrose Ave., Suite G200 and puts the space at about 12,524 square feet total, with 10,787 square feet inside and a 1,737-square-foot outdoor patio. The filing pegs the estimated completion date as Aug. 20, 2026. It also notes the project was registered in December 2025 and carries an estimated construction cost of roughly $4.78 million.
Design and features
According to a Fox Restaurant Concepts release, reported by CultureMap Dallas, The Henry is slated to occupy a roughly 12,976-square-foot space at Legacy West, with both indoor and outdoor dining. Plans include an open kitchen and a private dining room for events. The same release highlights a full-service coffee bar that will pour lattes at breakfast and "espresso martinis" later in the day, and quotes founder Sam Fox saying the concept is built around how people live their lives. CultureMap reports the company expects the Plano location to open in late 2026.
Where it fits in Texas
The Plano restaurant will join the original Uptown Dallas location, which debuted in 2019, along with Houston openings that began appearing last year. The Houston Town & Country Village outpost opened Nov. 12, 2025, according to the Houston Chronicle, and the Uptown debut was detailed by The Dallas Morning News in 2019.
Legacy West context
Legacy West promotes itself as a walkable mixed-use center anchored by offices, hotels, shops and a sizable food-and-retail core, with its official site outlining the kinds of amenities that tend to attract expanding restaurant concepts. Hoodline reporting has tracked a steady stream of new tenants into the development, including earlier coverage of The Henry's planned expansion.
What to expect
The Henry is designed as an all-day neighborhood restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, weekend brunch and dinner, with a full cocktail program and an approachable menu, according to The Henry. Fox Restaurant Concepts has been rolling out The Henry in multiple states, and the Legacy West project will expand the brand's Texas footprint.
For now, the filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and the company's release reported by CultureMap Dallas remain the clearest public records of the buildout schedule and scope. Fox has not posted a firm public opening date.
