Fans of crispy chicken and cheesy mac in Edgewater are on the clock. Vivi’s Chicken n' Mac is shutting down its Edgewater restaurant this Saturday after a little more than a year in business, with the owners already plotting a comeback in Severna Park. For now, the chain’s Arnold location stays open while staff pivot to the next chapter.
On Facebook, the restaurant told customers, “This Saturday will be our final day serving the public at our Edgewater location,” according to Eye On Annapolis. The post did not spell out why the Edgewater shop is closing, instead framing the move as the brand’s “next chapter.”
Edgewater Run And Context
The Edgewater restaurant opened in spring 2025 at the South River Crossing shopping center, at 3059 Solomons Island Road, when the concept first launched locally, Patch reported. The spot took over a former Thai restaurant and was set up to seat roughly 39 diners at a time.
Severna Park Site Announced
Vivi’s has already picked its next nest. The company says it has secured a new space at 544 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Severna Park and is billing the restaurant as “coming soon,” according to Eye On Annapolis. The move keeps the brand rooted in Anne Arundel County while owners line up the opening.
Who Is Behind Vivi’s And What Stays Open
Vivi’s currently lists an Arnold location at 1272 Bay Dale Drive and directs customers with questions to its usual contact channels, with its official site outlining current locations and how to get in touch. The fried chicken and mac-and-cheese concept is part of the Monte Restaurant Development Group and serves as a sister brand to Squisito Pizza & Pasta, which also operates in the same Severna Park retail corridor, Patch noted.
Edgewater regulars still have until this Saturday to get one last order in. The restaurant says it will share an official Severna Park opening date on its website and social media once it is ready to debut the new spot.
