WaBa Grill, the Los Angeles–based rice-bowl chain, is expanding in the Las Vegas Valley with its third local location. The new spot will open next Friday at The Collective on Paradise Road, Suite P, adding another fast-casual bowl option to the busy development.
As reported by Las Vegas Review-Journal, the restaurant is planned to debut next Friday. Coverage from What Now notes that WaBa first hit the Valley on St. Rose Parkway in 2024, followed by a southwest location that opened last July.
Menu and what to expect
WaBa’s menu leans into build-your-own comfort: customizable rice bowls, plates and salads topped with proteins such as wild-caught salmon, shrimp, never-frozen chicken, marinated steak, plant-based steak and organic tofu, according to WaBa Grill. For anyone not in a bowl mood, there are also Boom Boom Tacos, dumplings and shareable sides like edamame, kimchi and jalapeño carrots.
Where it fits in The Collective
The Collective on Paradise Road has been steadily turning into a full-fledged dining hub, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the development already packs in about 10 food and drink spots. The lineup ranges from familiar chains to chef-driven concepts, including Domino’s Pizza, Tacos & Beer and Cleaver Butchered Meats. WaBa Grill will slot into Suite P among that mix as leasing continues to fill out the center.
Expansion plans behind the push
WaBa’s Nevada expansion has been in motion since at least 2024, when the chain opened its first state location in Henderson, as covered by What Now. In a press release via WaBa Grill, the company said franchisees Raj Sangha and Fernando Escobedo have exclusive rights to develop as many as 10 restaurants in Clark County and framed the push as part of a larger Western U.S. growth strategy built around its grilled proteins and plant-based options.
Where to find the chain now
If you want to get a taste before the Collective location comes online, WaBa already has a foothold in the Valley. There is a Henderson shop that marked the chain’s Nevada debut, as detailed by What Now, plus a southwest Las Vegas restaurant listed at 7060 S. Durango Drive, according to local business listings on MapQuest.
