
A routine Friday evening in Waikoloa turned tragic when a 3-year-old girl was fatally struck by a reversing vehicle in a residential parking lot on Feb. 20. The crash was reported at about 7:12 p.m. in a parking area off Waikoloa Road (Highway 191). The child was taken to Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital, where she later died.
