The gunfire broke out around 11:30 a.m., according to people at the scene, and officers quickly detained a family member for questioning as they tried to piece together what happened.

According to Fox San Antonio, the victim told officers that someone came into her apartment and demanded a wallet before she was shot in the leg. The outlet reports that no weapon has been recovered, and officers have been searching the surrounding area for a possible suspect.
