
The National Weather Service in Washington D.C. forecasts a cold week ahead, with single-digit temperatures and strong winds producing wind chills as low as minus 5 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s high is expected to reach 23 degrees, with northwest winds of 11 to 16 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. Tonight, temperatures are forecast to drop to around 10 degrees, with winds becoming light after midnight.
Clouds will increase on Monday, with a high near 32 degrees and a low around 19 Monday night. Temperatures are expected to rise on Tuesday, reaching approximately 44 degrees under partly sunny skies, followed by a low near 34 Tuesday night. Wednesday is forecast to remain mostly sunny with a high near 46 degrees and a low around 28. Thursday’s high is expected to be near 39 degrees. Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday carries a 30 percent chance of snow with a high near 42 degrees.
