The Wyandotte community is on alert as police and family members continue their search for Tyler Bojanowski, a 25-year-old man reported missing since last Friday. CBS News Detroit reports that Bojanowski was last seen early Thursday morning, around 2:30 a.m., and concerns are heightened due to a previous brain injury he suffered in a car accident.
His mother, Nicole Dillon, who has been caring for him post-accident, told CBS News Detroit that their recent communication gave no indication of anything amiss, but now, he has not returned home since telling me he was heading to a friend's house, and the situation has become distressing for the family. His deserted truck was located on Enterprise Drive near the Best Western Greenfield Inn in Allen Park, adding to the mystery. His passport was discovered at Dingell Park in Ecorse, Michigan, weaving a confusing trail for investigators and loved ones alike.
The Allen Park Police Department has taken to social media to amplify their search efforts, sharing a Facebook post that includes Bojanowski's last known whereabouts and description. Standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and usually wearing glasses, community members are urged to come forward with any relevant information. Disturbingly, recent security footage showed him walking alone without a coat, a fact which Dillon shared in her plea for his safe return.
"Tyler, if you're out there, and if you're watching this, please just call me. Please just come home," Dillon implored during a Sunday afternoon statement, "I don't care, whatever happened or what you think you did, or anything like that, I do not care about any of that. You know that nothing that you could do would ever make me not love and support you," she said, echoing the sentiments of unconditional family love. Those with any information regarding Tyler Bojanowski's whereabouts are strongly encouraged to contact the Wyandotte Police Department, as they continue to conduct what they've described as an ongoing investigation into his mysterious disappearance, according to the Allen Park Police Department.
