A masked man carrying a bright yellow reusable bag is at the center of an aggravated robbery investigation in east Denver, and police want the public’s help figuring out who he is.
Denver police released surveillance images on Wednesday of a suspect they say was involved in an aggravated robbery just before 9:50 p.m. last Tuesday in the 2200 block of North Oneida Street. The case is being investigated under number 26-92606, and detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the man to contact authorities.
In a post on its official account, the department shared several photos and a short description of the suspect, describing him as a slim male, about 5-foot-6, with a medium complexion. He was seen wearing thick eyeglasses, a purple mask, a light-colored jacket and carrying a yellow reusable bag, according to the Denver Police Dept. The post notes that the aggravated robbery was reported at about 9:47 p.m. last Tuesday, and confirms detectives are working the case under number 26-92606.
If that description or the bag rings a bell, investigators want to hear from you.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is also taking tips in the case. The group says callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
