Late Saturday night, a 70-year-old man was stabbed and robbed in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District, leaving him hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a street confrontation turned violent.
Officers arrived to find the man with a stab wound to his hand after an encounter in which the attacker demanded his wallet. The robbery and stabbing happened around 8:40 p.m. on March 27 on the 1200 block of South Jackson Street.
Police details
According to FOX 13 Seattle, the Seattle Police Department says the victim described the suspect as a Black man wearing a blue hat, sunglasses and a blue surgical mask. Police say the attacker stabbed the man during an argument, then took off before patrols got to the scene.
Responding officers searched the surrounding streets but did not locate a suspect, FOX 13 Seattle reports.

Seattle police are asking anyone with information to contact the department’s Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000 and to make any video or photos available to investigators, according to the Seattle Police Department. Detectives have been canvassing the International District and reviewing camera footage in hopes of identifying the attacker.
