Federal safety officials and the manufacturer are sounding the alarm after a nationwide recall of AirClub convertible bassinets that can leave a dangerous gap between the bassinet and an adult mattress, creating a fall hazard for infants. Parents are being told to stop using the bedside-sleeper setup right away and follow the company’s repair instructions.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of about 110,400 AirClub Convertible Bassinets, model QX-831, which were sold on Amazon from October 2023 through December 2025 for roughly $110 to $130, according to Boston 25 News. The agency and the company say the bedside-sleeper attachment can form a gap large enough to put an infant at risk of a fall.

Manufacturer Recall And Remedy

AirClub, which lists its importer as Zhangzhou Qiangxing Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., says it is conducting a voluntary recall and cooperating with federal regulators. Per AirClub, consumers should stop using the bassinet immediately, cut off the two original L-shaped straps, and contact the company to receive replacement attachment parts and detailed rectification instructions. The company provides a support email ([email protected]) and a U.S. phone number (1-833-977-6667) for owners seeking help.

Why Officials Say It Is Dangerous

The recall notice explains that the bassinet’s attachment mechanism can create an opening between the baby’s bed and an adult mattress that could allow an infant to fall through, posing a potentially deadly risk. That hazard, which is tied to how some bedside conversions attach to adult beds, is the main reason regulators flagged the product, according to Boston 25 News.

How To Check If Yours Is Affected

Look for the model number QX-831 printed on a label on the underside of the bassinet beneath the mattress pad. AirClub lists the affected colors and models. If your unit is included, the company asks that you mark the original strap “Recalled,” send photos and purchase information to [email protected], and wait for replacement T-shaped buckle straps and step-by-step instructions. Per AirClub, do not resume use until the replacement parts are installed.

Context: Regulators And Baby-Gear Safety

Federal regulators have repeatedly warned about bedside sleepers and convertible bassinets when attachment systems or design flaws create entrapment or fall risks for infants. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued similar safety notices and recalls for infant sleep products in recent years. See the CPSC for background.

Owners who bought the bassinet on Amazon or another online marketplace are advised to check order records, photograph the product and the original strap, and register a claim with AirClub as instructed. If you own an affected unit, switch to an alternative certified sleep product until the company provides and you install the replacement parts.
