Toastique has officially arrived on Long Island, opening its first area location on Saturday, Feb. 28, in Woodbury and bringing the D.C.-born chain’s open-faced toasts, smoothie bowls and cold-pressed juices to Jericho Turnpike. The café moves into the former Dugan’s Sandwich Shop space after more than two years of planning by the franchise owners, adding another daytime dining option at Woodbury Country Square for golfers, park regulars and early-morning commuters.

The Woodbury café is located at 8027 Jericho Turnpike inside Woodbury Country Square, in the storefront that long housed Dugan’s Sandwich Shop. The build-out comes in at roughly 1,632 square feet, and local commercial brokers put the lease together, according to Long Island Business News.
Menu And Prices
The Woodbury shop sticks to the brand’s formula: a mix of sweet and savory toasts alongside açaí and PB+B bowls, smoothies, and both bottled and fresh-poured cold-pressed juices. As reported by Newsday, the menu lists a smoked salmon toast at about $15, a smashed avocado toast at about $14 and cold-pressed juices starting at about $9.50. The PB+B bowl blends açaí, banana, blueberry and peanut butter, then gets topped with banana, dates, peanuts and granola.
Opening-Week Promos And Hours
The debut came with some fanfare: the first 100 customers were offered a rewards giveaway and the café rolled out a series of daily opening-week specials, Long Island Business News reports. Company materials list early-morning hours for the Woodbury shop, with many franchise listings showing a 7 a.m. opening and a midafternoon close, while brand press materials have pointed to a 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. window for this location.
Owners On Why Woodbury
Husband-and-wife franchisees Christopher (Chris) and Andrea Pedersen told Newsday they spent more than two years getting ready to open, including completing Toastique’s brand training that took them to Washington, D.C., and into shifts at other locations. They said the spot’s proximity to the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course and Trail View State Park made Woodbury a strong fit for a café that leans heavily on daytime traffic.
