Morning traffic on FM 1960 just picked up a new distraction in the form of fresh-baked carbs. Einstein Bros. Bagels quietly opened a new Humble bakery on Monday, bringing its bagels, cream-cheese shmears and breakfast sandwiches to a stretch of highway that has steadily filled with commuter-friendly dining spots.

Store officials confirmed the shop opened March 23 at 9490 FM 1960 Bypass Road W., Suite 900, as reported by Community Impact. According to the outlet, the Humble bakery is offering the chain’s standard lineup of fresh-baked bagels, double-whipped shmears, coffee and egg sandwiches.

Public filings show the new shop was built out as a 2,219-square-foot tenant finish-out, with work listed as starting Jan. 1 and a projected completion date of April 1, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The state record names Townsen 1960 Associates as the property owner and describes the project as a privately funded renovation inside an existing multi-tenant building.

Chain Rollout and New Design

Corporate materials from Einstein Bros. say the Humble bakery is part of a broader rollout of an "Elevate the Morning" store design appearing in new locations this year. "Everything about the 'Elevate the Morning' design starts with our guests," Chief Operating Officer Adam Modzel said in a company release, which also notes Einstein Bros. is on track to open more than 100 new bakeries through 2026. The format focuses on a prominent bagel case and layouts designed to speed mobile pickup for morning commuters, according to the release.

More Stores Around the Metro

The Humble opening follows other recent launches in the Houston area, including a Cypress location that debuted earlier this month as part of the chain’s expanding suburban footprint. Community Impact reported the Cypress bakery opened March 2 and identified it as one of the brand’s newest Greater Houston sites.

Customers can find full menus, hours and rewards details on the brand’s website, and the company highlights catering and mobile pickup as options for nearby offices and events, according to Einstein Bros. The Humble bakery is expected to fall in line with the chain’s typical morning hours and catering offerings as it settles into its new shopping-center home.
