Three people were shot inside a north Harris County home early Wednesday after what deputies believe started as a disturbance at the front of the house, leaving one person clinging to life and two others in stable condition. The gunfire erupted around 1 a.m., and the scene is still under active investigation.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a life-in-danger call in the 2000 block of Bertrand Lane near Aldine Westfield, according to KPRC Click2Houston. They arrived to find two men and a woman shot inside the home. All three were taken to nearby hospitals, with officials reporting one victim in critical condition and the other two listed as stable. Investigators quickly locked down the residence to begin collecting evidence.
Detectives at the scene said an argument may have broken out just before the shots were fired, and they are working to determine how everyone involved is connected, KHOU reported. The victims’ names have not been released, and no arrests had been announced in the initial aftermath. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said detectives will continue developing the case and forwarding their findings as the probe moves ahead.
