
A late Sunday morning near Broadway turned violent on San Antonio's North Side when a man in his mid-30s was found shot and rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Police have detained a suspect and are still looking for the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.
According to KENS5, officers were called around 11:06 a.m. to the 8400 block of Country Village near Broadway, where they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, the outlet reports.
The San Antonio Police Department said its Eagle helicopter unit helped officers spot someone fleeing the scene. Investigators recovered a bicycle believed to belong to the suspect, though they are still searching for the firearm. Police arrested a suspect without incident, and the investigation remains active.
