Neighbors described a mess of broken glass and fresh bullet holes as officers swarmed the block and started knocking on doors. Police later confirmed property damage and said no injuries were reported.

According to News 12 New York, the NYPD says shots rang out on Dumont Avenue Monday night, and investigators are now looking for a man described as wearing red sweatpants and a black hoodie. A woman told reporters that bullets tore through her window while her children were home. Officers told the station they documented property damage at the scene and that the investigation remains active.

As of Tuesday, there were still no arrests in Monday’s shooting and detectives continued to canvas the block, investigators told News 12 New York. Neighbors said they are fed up after a string of recent violence nearby, including a fatal pre-dawn hit-and-run last weekend, according to dawn hit-and-run horror. Police are again urging anyone with video, photos or information to share it with detectives or through Crime Stoppers.
