In a separate case, a person was found fatally shot in a parking lot on Northwest 35th Street as officers hustled between crime scenes.

Fort Worth police said two men, ages 28 and 26, were fired upon around 7:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of Carter Park Drive near East Seminary Drive. Officers detained a suspect at the scene, and both victims were taken to local hospitals, where their conditions were reported as stable, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

The Carter Park shooting was one of at least eight incidents involving gunfire reported across Fort Worth on Sunday, according to the Fort Worth Star‑Telegram. That outlet also reported that a separate victim was later found dead in a parking lot on Northwest 35th Street as investigators worked multiple scenes around the city.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the shootings and to determine whether any of the incidents are connected. No formal charges had been announced as of publication.
