Convene Hospitality Group is going all in on downtown D.C., taking over the entire sixth floor at Hamilton Square and locking up the last piece of the building's private WorkPlaces offering.

The hospitality-focused flex office operator has expanded its footprint by roughly 26,600 square feet at 600 14th Street NW, giving Convene three full floors at one of the city's marquee office addresses. Transwestern, which handles leasing for the building's private WorkPlaces, brokered the deal.

According to Transwestern, Convene signed a 26,615-square-foot lease on the sixth floor at Hamilton Square, a move that also means the building's private WorkPlaces are now fully spoken for.

Transwestern Brokers Full-Floor Expansion

"This expansion reinforces CHG's commitment to D.C.," Larry Serota said in a statement released through Transwestern. He added that securing the sixth floor gives Convene more room to handle growing demand for hospitality-driven meetings, events and premium flexible workspaces in the heart of the city.

What Convene Will Offer

Convene markets Hamilton Square as a hospitality-forward workplace, leaning into perks more often associated with boutique hotels than traditional offices. The site features on-site dining, a five-star culinary program, a full-service gym with lockers and showers, underground parking and a rooftop deck. According to Convene, the space mixes quiet areas with collaborative zones, includes six flexible meeting rooms and offers a penthouse conference center built to host larger events.

About the Building

Hamilton Square itself is a multi-tenant, Class A office property with a total building size listed at about 316,778 square feet and typical floor plates in the mid-20,000-square-foot range. The property at 600 14th Street NW sits within walking distance of the White House and the National Mall, according to commercial listings on CityFeet.

Who Represented the Deal

As reported by ConnectCRE, the lease expansion brings Convene's footprint at Hamilton Square to three floors totaling 79,850 square feet and further tightens the landlord-tenant relationship at the address. Transwestern said the added space will help Convene better serve corporate clients that want full-service meeting venues and flexible office options in downtown D.C.
