Deputies found the woman lying in the street and rushed her to Memorial Regional Hospital, where medical staff pronounced her dead. Lanes in the area were temporarily shut down as detectives documented the scene and collected evidence.
According to CBS News Miami, the Broward Sheriff's Office said the crash was reported around 6:45 a.m., and Traffic Homicide detectives were called in. Paramedics with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue transported the victim to the hospital.
