An early morning shooting at a Galena Park basketball court left one person dead and two others fighting for their lives Monday, pulling a heavy law enforcement response to the 1300 block of Keene.
The gunfire broke out near the Alvin D. Baggett Community Center, where deputies and crime scene investigators quickly flooded the area, blocking off surrounding streets as they worked the scene and spoke with witnesses.
According to a post from the Harris County Sheriff's Office, homicide detectives and CSI teams responded to the shooting. One person was found dead at the scene, and two others were taken to nearby hospitals in critical condition.
