Kings Meats, the Diamond Springs butcher shop known for dry-aged beef and house-made sausages, is gearing up to carve out a second, much larger home inside El Dorado Hills Town Center. The planned expansion would bring a full-service butcher counter and specialty market right into the suburban shopping hub.
According to the Sacramento Business Journal, as reported by What Now Sacramento, the new outpost is slated to span roughly 4,000 square feet. An exact opening date and suite number have not been announced, and the outlet noted it has reached out to owner Casey King for more details.
What To Expect
At its Diamond Springs flagship, Kings Meats dry-ages beef in-house, grinds fresh hamburger patties, and has built a reputation for hand-cut steaks and specialty preparations. Those services, along with the shop's posted hours and address, are listed online, and local business directories point out that the butcher also sells sausages, prepared items, and rotating local goods, according to El Dorado County business listings and Kings Meats' website.
Owner And Local Roots
Owner Casey King launched Kings Meats in early 2020 after running The Butcher's Kitchen food truck, and he has worked in the trade since the early 1990s, according to What Now Sacramento. The shop has also teamed up with local nonprofits, helping deliver hundreds of turkeys to families in need during a recent holiday drive, per the Marcella Foundation.
Why El Dorado Hills?
El Dorado Hills Town Center serves as the area's main retail and dining hub, and a roughly 4,000-square-foot butcher counter would plug into a center that already features established eateries and specialty markets. The Town Center leasing brochure details available retail space at the complex, and area business listings identify 4370 Town Center Blvd as the Town Center address, with nearby restaurants such as Selland's Market-Cafe helping anchor the dining mix.
For now, customers can still find Kings Meats at its Diamond Springs location, where the shop posts its address and hours on its website. The company has not announced a formal opening timeline for the El Dorado Hills store, and local outlets report they have reached out to the owner for additional information.
