A routine Domino’s pizza run in Woodhaven turned terrifying Tuesday night when two armed suspects allegedly dragged a delivery driver out of his SUV and took off in the stolen ride, according to police.
The 34-year-old driver was making a delivery at 88th Road near 80th Street when the pair approached, according to New York Daily News. One assailant pulled a handgun while the other held a knife, officers told the paper, and the men forced the driver out of his Toyota 4Runner before fleeing in the SUV. Police later found the stolen vehicle abandoned on Norfolk Street near the Williamsburg Bridge and said the knife was recovered and vouchered as evidence.

Officers canvassed the neighborhood after the carjacking and urged residents to review door-cam and dash-cam footage as detectives dig into what happened. The robbery echoes other recent attacks on drivers across the borough; Masked Thugs Jack Taxi documented a Feb. 28 knifepoint taxi jacking in Canarsie that has for-hire and delivery workers on edge. Authorities have not said whether any suspects in the Woodhaven case have been identified or arrested.
