Downtown Melbourne’s main drag is getting a fresh dose of red-sauce energy. Lynora’s, the family-run Italian chain that built its name in Palm Beach County, is set to move into a storefront on East New Haven Avenue and is aiming for an early summer 2026 opening. It will be the brand’s first Space Coast location and is expected to bring a full-service Italian option to the city’s central commercial strip.
Lynora’s lists a “Coming Soon” Melbourne outpost at 529 E New Haven Ave, Melbourne, FL 32901 on its locations page, signaling the company has locked in a permanent downtown address. The listing includes an email signup and placeholder hours, according to Lynora’s. The site also shows multiple South Florida locations and a Palm City spot, positioning Melbourne as part of a growing regional footprint.
What to expect
According to WhatNow, the Melbourne restaurant will serve housemade pastas and pizzas alongside classic entrées such as chicken Francese, veal marsala, and branzino piccata. The chain’s broader offerings include a dedicated vegan menu, a kid’s menu, a happy hour program, and private-dining and catering services. WhatNow also notes that Lynora’s can prepare gluten-free pizzas with a cauliflower crust and sells its sauces by the jar for customers who want to cook with the brand’s recipes at home.
Roots and expansion
Lynora’s history reaches back to 1976, when Raffaele and Maria Abbanente opened the original restaurant; their son Angelo now leads the business as it expands across Florida, per Business Debut. Local reporting adds that the Melbourne dining room is expected to seat roughly 130 guests, giving New Haven Avenue a true full-service sit-down option rather than a small grab-and-go storefront.
Where it fits downtown
The move slides a full-service Italian restaurant into a lively stretch of East New Haven Avenue that has seen its share of recent openings and turnovers. WhatNow notes that this will be Lynora’s first Space Coast outpost.
The company’s locations page currently features an email signup for opening updates and staffing notices, and no firm grand-opening date has been posted yet, according to Lynora’s. Expect more details, including hiring news and an official launch date, as the buildout moves forward.
