Northern California taco chain Tequileros Taqueria is finally planting its flag in Elk Grove this Saturday, and it is not being shy about luring in locals. To kick things off, the fast-growing brand is rolling out a heavy-duty deal: $1 street tacos for the first 100 customers. Translation: expect a line, expect a wait, and expect those discounted tacos to vanish fast.
Tequileros lists the new Elk Grove spot at 9600 Bruceville Road, Suite 100, and currently tags the location as “Coming Soon” on its site. Most of the chain’s shops show hours of 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to Tequileros Taqueria.
How The Grand-Opening Deal Works
According to The Sacramento Bee, Tequileros announced on Instagram that the Elk Grove grand opening will start at 2 p.m. The first 100 people in line can snag $1 chicken, asada, or al pastor street tacos. After those first 100 customers, the restaurant will shift to $2 tacos for people who follow its social media accounts.
The Sacramento Bee also reports that the promo is capped at up to 10 tacos per person, and that regular street tacos on the menu typically start at about $3 each. So if you are trying to stretch your taco budget, this one-day offer is likely your best shot.
From Truck To Regional Chain
Tequileros started as a single food truck in Lodi in 2021 and has been stepping on the gas ever since, expanding into brick-and-mortar restaurants and additional mobile units. The company’s site lists several current locations along with more “coming soon” pins, including Davis and Elk Grove.
