What We Know So Far
This stretch of I-280 has had its share of fire scares in recent years. In late August 2025, a vehicle fire at the Farm Hill interchange spread into nearby vegetation, burning about 10 acres, temporarily closing the freeway and prompting crews to protect adjacent Cañada College, according to The Almanac.
Traffic and Safety
During earlier incidents at this interchange, the California Highway Patrol routed traffic onto Woodside Road and Edgewood Road and ordered precautionary evacuations in nearby neighborhoods. Similar lane closures or detours are possible while firefighters work this latest blaze, as noted by prior coverage from NBC Bay Area.
