A tense, multihour standoff at a Folsom senior apartment complex ended when the city’s SWAT team moved in and took a barricaded man into custody, police said. Officers reported the suspect was armed with both a knife and a sword, and one person was injured and transported to a local hospital.
Before the standoff, the man allegedly assaulted a victim with a baseball bat, according to ABC10. Police said he then retreated into his unit at the complex and barricaded himself inside. Officers at the scene also noted a broken window. The standoff stretched for at least three hours before SWAT officers entered the apartment and detained the suspect.

The confrontation took place at Creekview Manor, an apartment complex in Folsom. City records list Creekview Manor at 1720 Creekside Drive, according to the City of Folsom. Housing listings describe the property as senior housing with roughly 138 units, per the SHRA.
