One of Fort Worth’s most familiar neighborhood spots is packing up its playbook and heading northeast. Lucile’s, the longtime Camp Bowie bistro, is opening a second location in Colleyville’s The Village, taking over the former Zafiros Mexican Grill y Cantina space at 5204 Colleyville Blvd. The team is aiming for a late 2026 debut, which means Colleyville diners will need to be patient before they can claim Lucile’s as their own.
City Announcement And Timeline
The expansion news first surfaced courtesy of a city Facebook post, as reported by Community Impact. In that post, Mayor Bobby Lindamood kept it simple and enthusiastic: “We are excited to welcome Lucile’s to Colleyville!” According to the outlet, city officials are working toward a late 2026 opening, but there is no hard and fast date on the calendar yet.
What To Expect From The Menu
Lucile’s built its reputation on American classics with a serious lean into seafood and steak. The restaurant’s own site highlights dishes featuring shrimp, chicken, steak and lobster, along with a breakfast lineup, desserts and a full wine and cocktail program, according to the Lucile’s website. At the Fort Worth flagship, weekend breakfast is a regular draw, and daily blackboard specials keep things from getting stale, a strong hint that Colleyville can expect a similar vibe. For now, there is no Colleyville-specific menu, so regulars and newcomers alike will have to wait and see what makes the cut.
The Space And Local Context
The new Lucile’s is stepping into a familiar storefront. The bistro will replace Zafiros Mexican Grill y Cantina, which Community Impact reported closed on November 25, 2024, after announcing a permanent shutdown on social media. For locals who have watched The Village cycle through concepts, an established Fort Worth name planting a flag in the center could feel like a reset, or at least a sign that the restaurant mix is stabilizing.
City officials and Lucile’s have said they will share more details as permitting and build-out move ahead. In the meantime, Lucile’s original Camp Bowie location is still serving diners and holding down its Fort Worth base. This story will be updated once the restaurant releases a Colleyville-specific menu or finalizes an official opening date.
