In a post on social media, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said a male suspect allegedly stole a cellphone from a woman in the 13600 block of North Freeway at Rankin and then "reportedly fired several shots in her direction." According to the post, Houston Police Department officers later "detained the suspect without further incident." The Sheriff's Office noted that no one was struck by the gunfire.
