Gunfire rang out on a Cypress Hills block late Sunday night, leaving a 34-year-old man shot multiple times but expected to survive, according to police.
Officers were called around 10:51 p.m. to 165 Crescent St., just off Ridgewood Avenue, after reports of shots fired. When they arrived, the victim was already gone. Police say he had been hit several times in the torso and left arm, but instead of waiting for EMS, he went to Jamaica Hospital by private means.
He is listed in stable condition and remains under care at the hospital as detectives work to piece together what happened.
