A 26-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday evening in Philadelphia after officers found him critically wounded on the roadway near North 8th Street and West Berks Street. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
According to the Daily Voice Drexel Hill-Upper Darby, police responded around 6:15 p.m. to reports of a shooting near that intersection. The 26-year-old had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to Temple, where he was pronounced dead at 6:29 p.m., the Philadelphia Police Department told the outlet. The case is being handled by the department's Homicide Unit, and no arrests have been made.

The Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, and detectives were canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage, according to the department.
