
A Wednesday night shooting in north Sacramento has police searching for answers after officers found a man with at least one gunshot wound on Grasslands Drive, and a possible suspect still at the scene.
Police response on Grasslands Drive
Officers were called out before 8:30 p.m. to the 2800 block of Grasslands Drive, where they located a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. According to KCRA, investigators said early on that they had not yet released the victim's condition.
Authorities also reported that they were trying to contact a suspect who was seen at the scene. As of the initial updates, there was no word on whether that person had been detained or questioned.

Police say the investigation into the Grasslands Drive shooting is active and ongoing. Detectives were attempting to make contact with the suspect who was reportedly on scene, and as of the initial reports, no arrests or charges had been announced.
KCRA reported that additional details were not immediately available as authorities continued their probe into what led up to the gunfire.
