The dog’s owner told KPNX she had never seen a coyote in the neighborhood before the animal suddenly came over her fence this past weekend. She said the Chihuahuas’ barking jolted her awake, and later she saw the entire encounter on her home security footage. According to the owner, the small dogs kept chasing the coyote until it finally gave up and left the yard.

The owner, identified as Felicia, praised “the tenacity that they had” and said she was proud of her Chihuahuas for driving the coyote off.
