Hollywood is getting ready to turn the volume way up. LA Pride has confirmed its 56th annual celebration will return to Hollywood on Sunday, June 14, 2026, under the theme “Rise With Pride,” with three grand marshals set to lead the procession. The parade is slated to step off at 11 a.m., and organizers say the event will be televised live on ABC7. Pride Village is also headed back to Hollywood Boulevard, and applications are now open for parade contingents, vendors, and food trucks.
Christopher Street West, the nonprofit that produces LA Pride, is framing “Rise With Pride” as a call to action and has posted details on the parade, festival footprint, and application timelines, according to LA Pride. The group says Pride Village will be free to the public and will feature local vendors, nonprofit tables, and multiple stages of programming. The site also highlights year-round Pride 365 programming along with upcoming talent announcements.
Grand Marshals and Broadcast Plans
CSW has named Jeff Hiller as Celebrity Grand Marshal, Mia F. Yamamoto as Community Grand Marshal, and the late Shirley Raines as Icon Grand Marshal. Hiller is an Emmy-winning actor and comedian. Yamamoto is a transgender Los Angeles-based criminal defense attorney and civil rights activist, and Raines founded Beauty 2 the Streetz and became a Skid Row fixture. Board President Lawrence Carroll said, “Rise with Pride is more than a theme, it’s a responsibility,” and the parade telecast will be hosted by Gio Benitez along with ABC7 anchors and reporters along the route, as reported by ABC7 Los Angeles.
Route, Pride Village, and Year-Round Programming
The parade route will start at Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue, head north to Hollywood Boulevard, continue east to Cahuenga Boulevard, and then loop back to Sunset. Pride Village will run along Hollywood Boulevard from Vine Street to Gower Street. The village will be free and open to the public and is planned as a full day of performances, food, and community resources. CSW is also promoting upcoming events, including Trans Self-Care Sunday on Sunday, March 29, and a Countdown to Pride fundraiser on May 2, according to LA Pride.
Remembering 'Ms. Shirley'
Shirley “Ms. Shirley” Raines (1967-2026) is being remembered as a humanitarian and the founder of Beauty 2 the Streetz, a grassroots effort that brought food, supplies, and dignity to people living on Skid Row. Her obituary and tributes describe years of direct service and the personal losses that drove her mission, a legacy organizers cited when naming her Icon Grand Marshal, per Legacy.
Applications for parade contingents, Pride Village booths, and food trucks remain open, and organizers are urging groups to register early as planning ramps up. The parade will air live on ABC7 and the station’s streaming platforms on June 14 at 11 a.m., with CSW saying more lineup and logistics details will be announced in the weeks ahead, as reported by ABC7 Los Angeles.
